Today is the birthday of the Land Of Sunshine blog – the 8th year to the day of posting about Melbourne street art and graffiti and what better way to celebrate than to show the progress shots of this incredible mural by Lucy Lucy. For years I have loved the French street artist’s style and use of fabric in her art on the streets, installations and her own exhibitions. After lots of informal chats at various street art shows, we finally decided to move forward and get a piece painted on the front of the Rathdowne Fabrics store. With complete creative licence, Lucy painted something we have named The Textile Tornado and we absolutely love it. Thank you and looking forward to working together again…..
