KAWS – graffiti writer, street artist, toy maker and contemporary artist from USA has a large collection of his artworks on show at the latest blockbuster exhibition at NGV titled Companionship in the Age of Loneliness. Pride of place is the commissioned GONE statue sitting in the forecourt, at seven metres tall and weighing fourteen tonnes this bronze piece is the largest the artist has ever made and will be part of the permanent NGV collection – watch the install here. The show is on until April and definitely worth the visit….
