VIENNA THERAPY – NYCHOS IN MELBOURNE

Although traditionally Vienna is known as the City of Music, it’s probably better known for being the home of Sigmund Freud, one of the greatest minds of our time. These days Viennese born street artist @Nychos forms part of a new breed of young artists proving there is more to his home town than the Waltz and Baroque castles. Nychos travels the world painting large scale murals with his unique style featuring dissection of animals and cartoon type characters – he recently completed a massive kangaroo (dissected of course) which can be viewed on Easey Street in Collingwood.

Nychos, in collaboration with @viennatouristboard, created “Dissection of Sigmund Freud” a three metre sculpture as part of Vienna Therapy – an interactive installation which is on show at Federation Square from March 8 to 12, offering visitors the chance to win a trip to Vienna. We are only the second city in the world to experience this after it’s launch in NYC last year. As part of the activation, there is also a free interactive opportunity to steer through a model of Vienna with your thoughts and create your own personalised Vienna Mind Map
